Directly line managed two Event Coordinators and overviewed their planning and management of events onsite at the Museum to ensure standards were met and problems were troubleshot effectively.

Managed day to day relationships with key sponsors, corporate partners and internal senior stakeholders with planning events onsite at the Museum. Events such as but not limited to: The Museum of the Year Awards hosted by Art Fund, RAF centenary dinner, Saudi Aramco’s Board of Directors dinner, Printmaking Seminar hosted by Queen Sonja of Norway and assisted with Her Majesty the Queen’s visit of the reopening of Sir Joseph Hotung Gallery.

 Where necessary, took responsibility for complex, high profile and large-scale events including senior level liaison, contract negotiation, health and safety management (staff, safety of building and collections) and security protocol arrangements.

 Managed tender process for Museum’s list of accredited event suppliers to ensure standards reflected and supported the Museum’s reputation.

 Worked with the Head of Events to develop the department’s revenue, strategies, team training required and empowered team members to make their own decisions.

 Acted as Interim Head of Events in managing the relationships between the Events team and other museum departments whilst maintaining a high profile within the organisation as an advocate for the Events team.
